I was sore and groggy on Wednesday, and then sore for a few more days, but other than that, felt well. Dana and I were able to enjoy some fellowship with our pastor and other pastors and their wives at a retreat. It was an encouraging time.<br \/>\nSaturday we got back in town, helped some with the musical rehearsal, and enjoyed the day Sunday in church. By Sunday afternoon I was starting to feel sick and more sore. My neck (where the upper incision is) was starting to hurt, and I felt sick. During the song service Sunday night I could tell I was straining my incision in my neck while leading singing\u2014probably shouldn’t have done that.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nAfter service I really started to feel bad. We hosted a short youth worker’s fellowship, and I went home and crashed. Didn’t sleep much, started coughing a lot, and got an intense head-ache and fever overnight. By 9:30 Monday morning, I was at the doctor’s office. After a chest x-ray, he determined I didn’t have bronchitis, but some other kind of virus. We postponed my second treatment (which was scheduled for Monday at 2pm) and I’ve basically been in bed since then.<br \/>\nI woke up this morning with no fever and no head-ache finally\u2014but still weak and aching. I sure didn’t expect to be knocked for a loop like this, but at least it’s not something more serious.
